SCHLAGZEILEN AUS DER PRAXIS FÜR DIE PRAXIS

  1. A Lean Manufacturing Design (LMD) is a key leverage to reduce life-cycle costs and assure profitability of a new manufacturing line; to be lean right from the start. The application of key lean methods and the installation of professional industrial engineering processes is implemented in a new standard product. LMD requires lean tools and a new industrial engineering process!

  2. A Lean Initial Audit determines in a standardized way the biggest potentials before to start the lean programme.  Many lean programmes start without a clear understanding which potentials to activate. The standardized lean initial audit (LIA) identifies potentials (technological, organizational and economic) in order to select the right lean tools and methods. This assures effectiveness and ROI!

  3. New Lean Transformation Speed Control in order to accelerate, diagnose and control the lean transformation is released as key management tool to multiply lean success. This Lean Excellence System Review (LESR) is released in version V2.2 gives a standardized and strategic system definition for the multiple sites, how-to become a lean enterprise. LESR provides a graphical user interface (Lean cockpit chart) to give the management the complete control over the lean management transformation for multiple sites.

  4. Lean Production System repository and model allows rapid customer-oriented design of "My-Lean-production-System".

  5. 3-months implementation time per Site for Lean Production Systems for European Groups in order to allow transformation speed for the corporations (Speed is essential in key markets).

  6. Value Stream Analysis and Design is performed together with the customer with immediate implementation (action plans).

  1. 02nd June 2005 - Lean Manufacturing Design for a Germany-based automotive supplier
    Dr. Joerg Tautrim Engineering supports a world-wide operating automotive supplier group in the redesign of the existing manufacturing system design to become and to support lean right from the start. The manufacturing system design has been reevaluated and redesigned in order to reduce cycle time and employee productivity by the means of lean tools. The manufacturing system design has been redesigned to support a multiple-machine operation (U-Shape) and efficient group work process. With the new design, employee productivity, after the ramp-up, will be almost doubled.

  2. 28th May 2005 - Total Productice Maintenance Installation
    Dr. Joerg Tautrim Engineering supports German F&B factory in the successful installation of Total Productive Maintenance. Total Productive Maintenance is the means to increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to a worldclass level. Furthermore maintenance functions are integrated intro groupwork activities by a 7 Step approach and qualified trainings. Customer is enthousiastic about lean excellence and considers Total Productive Maintenance as a machine-focused and integral (!) key module for his initiative. DJTE implements Total Productive

  3. 20th May 2005 - Kanban Implementation for packaging material
    Dr. Joerg Tautrim Engineering supports European F&B group in the successful installation of a Kanban system for the packaging material supply to filling lines. Furthermore, filling lines are pulling raw material from production area with a new kanban control.

  4. 19th May 2005 - Lean Administration System Manual - Transform the offices !
    For a leading northern European Group, Dr. Joerg Tautrim Engineering develops 
    a lean administration handbook to transform office processes to a lean administration system. 
    The systematic approach of the lean excellence / lean production system product, including lean tools but also all required lean processes, is now transfered to the administration area. DJTE closes the gap in order to become a complete lean enterprise, reutilizing the successful lean production system approach. Office processes include sales, development, planning, maintenance, Human Ressources, etc.

  5. 12th May 2005 - Lean Initial Audit (LIA) : Printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing
    Dr. Joerg Tautrim Engineering supports a Germany-based PCB-manufacturer in the pre-analysis for the installation of a lean production system. Capacity losses at the constraint, manufacturing flow and rerun (first pass yield) potentials but also organizational potentials have been identified and expressed by facts and figures. Customer is impressed by the professional, method-based approach (ASME, VSM, LIA) in order to quantify the known and estimated potentials. Quantified potentials are now focused by the right selection of the right tools.

The printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturer is supported by a professional and industry-focused training in lean production for the complete management team. Furthermore a standardized Lean Initial Audit (LIA) is realized, in order to identify key opportnities for improvement ("number crunching"). The Lean Initial Audit is a key product before the installation of a lean production system in order to select relevant lean methods within the framework of the lean production system ("Toyota production system" modules).

    Customer receives a 5S score (internal vs. external score), which quantifies 5S implementation status (good and bad practices) per site and management summary what to do.

  9. 04. February 2005 - Lean Champion training
    Dr. Joerg Tautrim Engineering trains European Lean Champions in the application and implementation of lean methods and in a process-oriented understanding of Lean.

  1. 02. Juni 2005 Schlankes Anlagendesign für einen deutschen Automobilzulieferer
    Dr. Jörg Tautrim Engineering unterstützt eine weltweit operierende Gruppe in der Ausrichtung des Anlagendesigns auf eine Schlanke Produktion von Anfang an. Das Anlagendesign wurde im Hinblick auf die Reduzierung der Zykluszeit und Mitarbeiterproduktivität mit Lean Werkzeugen bewertet. Das Anlagendesign wurde im Hinblick auf eine Mehr-Maschinen-Bedienung (U-Form/U-Shape) und einen effizienten Teamprozess neu bewertet. Die Mitarbeiterproduktivität, nach dem Anlauf, wird sich mit dem neuen Design fast verdoppeln.

  2. 28. Mai 2005 Total Productive Maintenance Installation
    Dr. Jörg Tautrim Engineering unterstützt deutschen NuG-Betrieb in der erfolgreichen Umsetzung von Total Productive Maintenance. Mittels Total Productive Maintenance werden die Maschinen und Anlagen auf eine Weltklasse-OEE entwickelt. Die Übertragung von Instandhaltungsfunktionen an die Linienführer erfolgt über ein 7-Schritte-Modell und über qualifizierte Trainings. Der Kunde ist von Lean Excellence begeistert und sieht Total Productive Maintenance als einen maschinen-orientierten und integrierten (!) Kernbaustein seiner Initiative. DJTE hat Total Productive Maintenance Implementierungserfahrung seit 1994 (!).

  4. 19. Mai 2005 - Lean Administration System Handbuch - Bewegung für Büros !
    Dr. Joerg Tautrim Engineering entwickelt für eine führende Nordeuropa-Gruppe ein Lean Administration Handbuch, um Büroabläufe und -prozesse zu einem Schlanken Adminstrationssystem zu entwickeln. Der Systemansatz von Lean Excellence / Schlankes Produktionssystem, welcher alle Lean Werkzeuge aber auch die organisatorischen Abläufe beinhaltet, wird nun in die Administration übertragen. DJTE schließt damit die Lücke, dass Optimierungen bislang reine Produktionssache sind, und unterstützt Unternehmen in der Entwicklung zum Schlanken Unternehmen.     Dr. Joerg Tautrim Engineering releases a European 5S Audit (E5SA) in its beta release. The E5SA assists corporations in the ongoing (continuous) success monitoring and speed control of group-wide 5S implementations. The E5SA is adapted to 5S-issues relevant for workshops, shopfloors, offices and quality control laboratories. By the means of the E5SA customer headquarter gets the full control of the group-wide and Europe- distributed 5S implementation. Each of the sites must strive for a specific target score to achieve on an annual basis which is reviewed once a year externally. E5SA determines the actual 5S implementation score and shows 5S implementation progress. Furthermore the strategic tool assists in the identification and dissemination of 5S Best Practices throughout the corporation and underlines thorough commitment to the benefits of 5S / 5A.   3. 10. December 2004
    Dr. Joerg Tautrim Engineering defines, organizes and leads a Lean management process workshop in order to organize the lean implementation top-down for a pharmaceutical site in Germany. The started lean management program showed difficulties in the involvement of middle management and ownership by the middle management. The unique lean vision and objectives workshop defined a standardized, well-proven approach to define a successful lean management process by active participation of 22 managers. Customer is impressed to see the outcome with a clear definition of their lean vision and their definition of objectives, followed up by a draft for the lean master schedule. The master schedule is the strategic plan, which activities are planned, organized and reviewed throughout the year in order to show a visible and controllable commitment for lean implementation. Vice president for the supply chain is impressed by the results and acknowledges the value of a standardized vision and objectives workshop for the increased success of a lean transformation for the whole group.

    Dr. Joerg Tautrim Engineering defines and releases the content and schedule for a 4-day lean production system , lean management training following lean excellence principles. The off-site training is combined with on-site implementation of lessons learned. The lean management training contains the full package to understand the key modules of a lean production system. Furthermore, it includes a lean change management module which focuses upon the active involvement of middle management.     The Lean Level Assessment identifies basic opportunities for the company to start with a lean transformation.
